Cheapest is not the winner

- The rail is manufactured to your exact staircase after a survey, so it is a bespoke component rather than a stock length. That is also why the lead time is longer.
- How many stair lift quotes should I get?
- Three. Two is enough to spot a bad price but not enough to see what a normal one looks like, and by the fourth you are mostly repeating the same visit.
- Is a reconditioned stair lift a bad idea?
- Not by itself. A reconditioned carriage on a new rail is common and is usually covered by a warranty. What matters is that the quote says clearly which parts are new and what the warranty covers.
