Privacy Policy

Anvil Road LLC ("we", "us", "our") operates ageinplaceguide.com. This page explains what we collect when you visit, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Information We Collect
We collect standard web analytics data when you visit: your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, time on page, and the site or app that referred you. We collect this through Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
We do not collect your name, email address, or phone number unless you voluntarily give it to us, for example by signing up for our planning resources email or sending us a message.
Our Planning Resources Email
If you enter your email address in one of our signup forms, we store your address, which page the form was on, and the date you submitted it. That is everything we store. We use it to send occasional emails about new planning tools, updated cost figures, and products we recommend that have been discontinued or replaced.
We never ask for health information as part of signing up. Our forms ask for an email address and nothing else. We do not collect, request or store conditions, diagnoses, mobility levels, fall history, or any other health detail about you or about anyone you are planning for. Many of our readers are planning on behalf of a parent, and that person has not agreed to anything, so we do not gather information about them at all.
Our planners and calculators run entirely in your browser. What you enter into them is never sent to us, never stored, and never leaves your device. Closing the page discards it.
Our email list is handled by Resend, which stores your address and your subscription state on our behalf. Every email includes an unsubscribe link and a preferences page where you can turn this off yourself, and you can also reply to any of our emails asking to be removed. If an address has previously unsubscribed, submitting it in our form again does not put it back on the list: we leave the unsubscribe in place and email that address to say so. We do not sell, rent or share the list.
Cookies
This site uses cookies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use them for analytics and to support affiliate tracking. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may stop working properly.
Affiliate Links
This site contains affiliate links, including links to Amazon. If you click one and buy something, the retailer may pay us a commission at no extra cost to you. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer may set its own cookie to track the referral. We do not have access to the data those retailers collect.
As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.
Third-Party Services
We use Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, and Amazon Associates. We may use other affiliate networks. Each of these has its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to read them.
Health and Safety Information
This site publishes general information about home safety equipment and aging in place. It is not medical advice and it is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified healthcare professional. Always talk to a doctor, occupational therapist, or other licensed professional about your own situation before acting on anything you read here.
Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
This site is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn we have, we will delete it promptly.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. Contact us if you want to exercise those rights.
