Current review status
Until the medical reviewer position is filled, all clinical content on AgeInPlaceGuide.com is reviewed internally against primary source citations. We reference:
- NCOA (National Council on Aging) falls prevention guidelines
- AARP research on aging-in-place and senior safety
- American Heart Association (AHA) cardiovascular health guidelines
- FDA device clearance records for medical alert systems and wearables
- Peer-reviewed journals on fall prevention, occupational therapy, and gerontology
Every health-related claim is sourced. If we cannot find a primary source, we do not make the claim.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a healthcare professional with credentials in one or more of the following:
- Gerontology (certified gerontologist or geriatric care manager)
- Occupational therapy (OTR/L with senior care experience)
- Physical therapy with falls prevention specialization
- Geriatric nursing (RN, NP, or CNS with senior care focus)
The role involves reviewing content for clinical accuracy, flagging unsupported health claims, and providing expert perspective on aging-in-place topics. It is a consulting engagement, not a full-time position.
